My first blog reflection for Term 2 2018

My first blog reflection for Term 2 2018

Today we are reflecting about 2 things we did in the holidays so that is what I am going to be doing!

It was a regular Saturday, actually no it wasn't because today we were going to be decorating for my twins nephew 4 year old surprise birthday party. It was all planned out my papa had hired a bouncy castle with a slide because the nephews loved the bouncy castle @ there little sisters birthday. The bouncy castle was an Avengers one because they love superheroes. My Nan and I were making all their favourite desserts like Jelly, Cupcakes, popcorn etc; How it worked was that our aunt had taken the twins to her house until the party was ready @ 12:00 pm. A few hours later the boys had arrived and we had their cousins and nanny's to come. They blew out there candles around about 3:00 pm and then everyone went home!

The 2nd thing we did in the holidays was that I spent a day at my Aunties house and my cousins. My brother and I went there because our nan and nephews and niece went to Tauranga. It was quite boring at our aunties but it was absolutely hot so my cousin (Ellah) and I went to persuade our aunt to take us to the beach. After all the begging she finally let us go to the beach and we grabbed our boogie boards and headed off to the beach. It was so fun after we were finished with the water because it got cold so we went to play in the sand and we built castles and were trying to slide down the hills at the beach with our boogie boards but sadly it failed so we got our baby nephew who we were baby sitting because he decided to stay with us and it worked because he was lite. We finished the day with some hot chips and sausages and then our Nan came back and picked my brother and I up from our aunties. It was such a blast!

Although the holidays were such a blast it was even more exciting to look forward to term 2. I could not wait till term 2 and I already knew what I was going to work on; I was going to work on... MATHS! I was going to work on maths because I felt my mathematics side of my brain was going down and I felt was not getting fractions or ratios so this year that is what I want to improve on!

I know I belong in the Kia Manawanui syndicate because I always try new things and I always try to have my blog post's at a year 7 (Or even higher) standard!

  • What is the central message or theme of the poem?
  • Why is the t i t l e important and how does it set the context of the poem?

Title
What is the title of your poem? Make it catchy
Likeable Lagoon pools.
Stanza 1
Introduce the topic of your poem through descriptive vocabulary and language
The bus was an alarm clock driving to the pools and the traffic was as packed as a parking lot.  I was going to freeze to death with this weather. In the pool people were playing physically at the panmure pools. I jumped into the pools and then the pools was starting to ripple.

Stanza 2
Use figurative language to creatively describe the topic of your poem
The pools were an Iceberg when I first jumped in. While I was swimming my togs had been soaked from the water like a sponge. Later on I got used to it and it was like I was melting when we hopped out. Later on we were going down the slide and something I noticed were that people were slowly sliding down the slippery slide and students were screaming down the slide as well, but I can’t blame them, the slide did feel like soap and  water combined while you could only see pitch black. “AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH” all the way to the bottom of the slide and “SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”” the teachers were saying to the students like Africa could hear us.
Stanza 3
Use figurative language to creatively describe the topic of your poem
Then it was 2:30 and were getting ready to go; everyone was rushing the girls to get ready but its not our fault that our hair was torturing us and my clothes felt like they had shrunk and we only took like 2 minutes. On the bus my eyelids were drifting away like they were on a elevator and they were going down but I tried to stay awake.

Final Stanza
What message are you wanting the reader to understand?

It was a really cold, miserable and tiring day but it was such a blast taking

Describing Panmure Lagoon Pools!

Kia orana people who are reading this right now,
Today I am going to be re-posting a blog post that I created during a writing task although I did not finish till now.

The writing task is using the 6 features of writing to make sure my writing is not fluffy! If you don't understand what I mean by fluffy so by fluffy I mean that the examples I use for the topic are related to the topic for example "The slide felt like water and soap combined" where a fluffy simile would be " the weather was a broken torch" this is a fluffy simile because a torch is NOT something related to the pools were water and soap is.

I hope you enjoy this blog post and please comment down below what you guys think I could IMPROVE ON, Enjoy :D

Question of the day:
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SUBJECT AT SCHOOL!

Kia Manawanui Talent Show Reflection!

IALT: Reflect about our Kia Manawanui Talent Show yesterday!

Hey everyone and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Since Kia Manawanui had our talent show - we have to reflect about it and what he really enjoyed! Honestly, I had SUCH an AMAZING time with my classmates as we each performed an item that we choreographed by ourselves for 4 weeks since we got told in week 6. This talent show was a fundraiser for the year 7 & 8 camp which will be happening next term in week 5, we wanted to keep the costs low so the Kia Manawanui Syndicate could go to camp Raglan. We needed to fundraise $2,700 but sadly we have no idea what we fundraised so we are finding out this week

We hosted 2 fundraisers this term which was the hangi fundraiser and also the Kia Manawanui talent show that we had.

Here is a reflection about the Kia Manawanui Talent Show!

Here is my Task Link:

Eater DLO

As you guys all know this week TPS and some other schools have been having a bit of a holiday! We got Friday, Saturday, Today, Tomorrow, and Tuesday off! I am so glad that we got this long holiday because I kind of needed a break! We had a holiday to celebrate the holiday of Easter!
Image result for Easter
As you may not know Easter isn't really just a time where you eat Easter eggs and chocolate it is actually an important holiday to the Christian people all around the world! The reason is because it marks the day that our father in heaven, Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross and then three days later he resurrected and rose from the dead.
